When I am not getting enough actual horse time, I inevitably write around seeking some. That how the whole hoofbeats! (radio+) media club got started! And how, more recently, I won a social media popularity contest to spend some high quality horse time with Chester Weber in January 2012.

In the summer of 2011, The Gift of the Horse website created an initiative to support the American Youth Horse Council, an organization that impacts over 400,000 children in programs such as 4-H, National High School Rodeo, PonyClub and most Breed/Youth Organizations. Generous sponsorships and donations were obtained with the intended goal of 100,000 for the American Youth Horse Council to fund educational programs and materials, grants and scholarships, and much needed research studies. Through its Horse Coupon Book facebook team, a dozen of the world’s most recognized and admired trainers contributed phenomenal prize packages. Apparently hand picked for their biggest fan, the prizes ranged from books and DVD’s, to clinics, exclusive memberships and much, much more.

Entrants competed with essays demonstrating their interest in a particular trainer, in order to garner knowledge from their selected, especially esteemed horseperson. And won based on social networking success! I was so lucky that a prof at the University of Guelph (and hoofbeats! (radio+) media club supporter) took up the challenge of herding up facebook votes for my essay. I'm not sure if he suggested to his classes that they "like" my write up on facebook, but I am certain he sent out some specific emails and made a few phone calls encouraging the required series of on-line clicks. I am so grateful for all that support.

I pulled off the trip with lots of help, just like when I went to World Equestrian Games and saw Chester compete for the first time. As a Novice Adult Ex-Eventer and Equine Canada certified English Instructor, I have been dedicated to exploring human's relationship with the horse, through an all ages, all ability, all interest media club, since 2007. With a sincere interest in horse and human welfare, decided to report on WEG when I was gifted accommodation at the site. Without a media pass, stable pass or even a single event ticket, I hopped in a borrowed car and drove from Guelph, Ontario to Lexington Kentucky to take in the final week. I didn't want to miss the very first time the games were held on North American soil. And this was how I came for the first time to see Combined Driving!

In my essay asking for training with America's top driver, I stated “Even as his number 1 fan, I was impressed to see his calm, composure and patience for hot day delay after delay after delay for his turn for the cones phase at WEG 2010. Not to mention the team spirit shown in the way he cheered for his US team mates, ringside, smiling and fist in the air! I am his number 1 fan because of his approachable, friendly, down to earth nature. Also his willingness to support equine media and interest in sharing equine enthusiasm fans and fellow athletes alike."

In an upcoming article for The Whip, I will tell you in detail about the experience, including my preconceived notions and expectations brought to the experience and how the reality did and didn't conform!

Guelph Resident, Kim Logue, has won a once in a lifetime chance to train with one of the World's Best Combined Drivers, Chester Weber. Weber is based in Ocala, Florida and is not just a "four-in-hand" international competitor and champion, he also acts as Chef D'Equip (technical director/coordinator and representative) of the other US Driving Teams in International Competition

Combined Driving is an equestrian sport involving a carriage, where the driver sits on a vehicle drawn by a single horse, a pair or a team of four, in this sport of three phases: Dressage, Cross-country Marathon and Obstacle Cones course. It is one of the ten international equestrian disciplines recognized by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) although it is not an Olympic Sport.

A volunteer/blogger for the National Sport office, Logue was thrilled to attend the World Equestrian Games in Lexington Kentucky in the fall of 2010, the first time the games have ever been held on North American soil. This was her first chance to see the sport at the world class level, live, and her first chance to see Chester Weber compete in person. (photo credit 0950, Chester close up, photo Kim Logue). The next World Equestrian Games will take place in Normandy in 2014, and Logue aspires to attend there as well.

Logue might be best known in Guelph as the founder and host of the popular "hoofbeats radio" that had aired on Sunday mornings on CFRU until September 2011. "This is an amazing opportunity! I want to make a filmdocumentary during the training time I have won," Logue says, "to help share knowledge about the horse sports, in a whole new discipline and genre."

– Canadian rider Kim Logue may just be the biggest fan of Combined Driver Chester Weber, a fact she proved when she won a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend two days on Weber’s Live Oak Plantation in Ocala, Florida, training with the legendary combined driver. Logue won the contest on the Gift of the Horse website by writing an award winning essay explaining why she is Weber’s biggest fan.

In her winning essay she said, “Chester Weber is a champion many times over, but there are other reasons I am his number one fan. He has been the introduction to the sport of Combined Driving, not just for me, but also for countless enthusiasts. I can vividly remember an entrancing demo during the Symphony of the Horse Charity Fundraiser in Gainesville, Florida where he was wearing a headset mic and whipping around the arena describing the sport in general, as well as the specific methods he was using moment by moment, with his team in action, to give a taste of the sport.”

Logue went on to write that she admires that fact that Weber believes in cross training his horses and she added that she is his number one fan, “because of the respect and appreciation he has shown for his carefully selected staff team. I am his number one fan because he is known to provide horses to students from time to time, including Canadians! I am his number one fan because he is known to invest in horses being shown in other sports, including by Canadian riders. I am his number one fan because some of the most amazing photographs published of him are taken by his wife.”

Logue said she was impressed to see Weber’s calm composure and patience after many delays due to the heat while waiting his turn for the cones phase at the 2010 World Equestrian Games. “Not to mention the team spirit shown in the way he cheered for his US teammates, ringside smiling and fist in the air!” Logue said, adding that she finds Weber to be approachable, friendly and down to earth.

Logue describes herself as a grass roots eventer, who grew up on rescue horses and borrowed ponies, a bond she shares with the iconic driver. Weber is well known for rescuing his horse Jamaica from a slaughterhouse before giving the celebrated horse a second career in which he won countless world championships. “The chance to train with Chester for a weekend means the world to me,” Logue said.

Weber, the United States’ most decorated combined driver, said he was pleased to be taking part in the Gift of the Horse contest. “I love the sport of combined driving and sharing my passion and expertise with others is something I love doing. The great thing about the Gift of the Horse is all the money raised on the website goes directly to the American Youth Horse Council. I certainly look forward to meeting Kim,” Weber said.

Project Title:

Applicant Description

The person accountable for the project, including management, and overseeing reporting and communications has the ability to enter into a contractual agreement.

Applicant Background

hoofbeats! (radio+) has operated as a radio volunteer collective from Aug 2007- March 2009, and again May 2011-August 2011.

The goals of the project are to bring equestrian experience to all Canadians, regardless of economic background. The proposed shows also attract international horse enthusiasts to the listenership and create an interest in Ontario-based equestrian facilities. OEF members, recreational riders and wanna-be's, benefit from listening to such entertaining and educational horse talk radio shows. Select contributors even benefit from researching and contributing audio segments for broadcast, or using the opportunity to spread their own equine news!

Proposed activities include broadcasting the fully produced programs on various stations across the NCRA network, targeting first CFRU then CHES, to promote new equine enthusiasm, educate existing equestrians and entertain. The hoofbeats radio club will also continue to maintain a blog, shoot video and take photographs etc. Note that funds will support education of recreational riders, and thereby be of benefit to their horses.

Project Timing

October - December 2011

Objectives

The club operates with the leadership of a certified instructor and experienced, award winning equestrian journalist , to produce and organize 1hour weekly radio show content. While recruiting and supporting volunteers, the club broadcasts balanced, well researched and entertaining shows. The club educates recreational riders and owners about all facets of horsemanship, from horse health care to training/handling to environmental farm management, through entertaining and well researched interviews and reports. This project also reaches out to wanna-bes, enthusiasts, and those who are not as active with hand on horse time as they wish to be!

The concrete results of this project will consists of 12 hours of rebroadcastable audio.

Proposed Activity
Continue to operate as a collective to bring equestrian experience to all Canadians via weekly radio shows, broadcast over the airwaves and also available on the CFRU archive.

Column Reporters and Interview Guests have and can continue to contribute additional support, via use of internet, phone, print ink, paper, computer equipment, audio equipment. Tech volunteers and the NCRA network has provided in kind support via training and orientation programs as well as use of On-air and production studio equipment. Also covered are expenses such as CRTC listening, web hosting of podcasts on archive etc.

Signing Officers
Like most clubs we will require that cheques and other withdrawals be signed by two officers of the Club, one of whom is usually the Treasurer. Upon receipt of any funding we will visit a financial institution to open the required account. We will remember that if or when the officers change in the Club, the financial institution must be advised and new Signature Cards will have to be signed.

Recieving Money
Money for the club will be received as either cash or as cheques. Cash Receipts should be issued for all cash received. A Cash Receipt should include the date, who the money is from, what the money is for and the dollar amount. The sum of the Cash Receipts and cheques should be equal to the bank deposit. Cash that is received should be deposited as soon as possible.

When cheques are received make sure they are made out properly to the club. If a cheque is made out to an individual, make sure they sign the cheque, then write on the back of the cheque "For Deposit Only to the Credit of (Name of Club)".

Today on hoofbeats we will hear about a unique process that integrates the instinctive feedback of horses with leading edge leadership training, team building and other programs that accelerate learning and create breakthrough behavioural change. We will look at Leadership from the perspective of the herd - very different from the pack type leadership that is typical of organizations. Horses have a lot to teach us!

My guest in the studio today is Sharon Quarrington, who is both an experienced organizational development professional and a skilled “horse whisperer. Sharon works with businesses and individuals to improve communication processes, to cultivate team-building and leadership skills, and to craft conflict resolution strategies. Sharon has developed "Horse Sense" programs, which utilize the universal principles of horsemanship to promote learning, refine relationship skills, and deepen understanding of leadership presence.

It will be about three years before Bello and his owner will be riding together, and until then, Akaash will be performing groundwork with him to cultivate his mind, physique, and spirit. When the hoofbeats (the band) appeared recently on hoofbeats radio, Murray Ritchie admitted not having any horse stories, but sent a shout out to his sister in law Jennifer Beehler, who I have since invited to join us in studio. In keeping with the hoofbeats recommendation she is both horsey and musical and says:

"Andrew Taylor and I have been playing music together for about 10 years but only as a duo for the last 3. We write our own music (which we'll play for your show) and also do some covers of various artists like Cheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge, Shawn Colvin, Bonnie Raitt. Etc. Some Country, Blues, Rock and Folk. I have wanted to sing all my life but don't play an instrument so I was very lucky to meet a friend named Phil Langlotz who introduced me to many wonderful musicians including Andrew. We don't have an official band name but are toying with Common Ground. So we may have you introduce us as that. We'll see what Andrew thinks. As for horses, I have been riding since I was 10 and it is such a joy for me. I just love being around horses, they bring me a lot of peace. I especially enjoy training young horses and fixing the problems of older horses to make them safe and enjoyable for their owners. Right now I ride in St. Jacobs with the best trainer I have ever ridden with, Mike Beaver. I have learned tons from him."

how about some sort of on-line survey for feedback? i want an appropriate place to say i LOVE the free training and i am grateful for the expertise and time spent with me. but also that 1:45 was interesting and potentially useful in other parts of my life and 15 minutes of the training i will actually use in future, given that i have 4 or 5 shows left to produce. i really wish that some of my 2 hour investment of time could have gone into my ACTUAL projects in process, with my specific questions.

but you might be interested in following up on the PSA that we just made for Rabbit Rescue, an organization in Ontario that finds foster and permanent homes for abandoned and neglected rabbits. They just received hundreds of orphaned rabbits from an emergency situation of some kind on Manitoulin Island...yesterday! They expect the medical bills from spaying and neutering to be upwards of $20,000 and they're in desperate need of help. All of the rabbits are dwarf and lop-eared rabbits, so the cute factor is off the charts. I thought that, if you weren't interested in doing a show about it (since, duh, rabbits are not horses), you might announce their urgent situation on your show or spread the word with any horse people you know that might have extra farm space. Ken has developed specialized farm equipment for horses, and is very enthusiastic about sharing with others the knowledge and skill . He does draft horse workshops that include gourmet home-cooked meals, plenty of opportunity for hands-on learning and many good laughs! There was also a one-day workshop to show you how a woodlot can be logged carefully, effectively and safely with horses. We will cover skidding with 1,2 & 3 horses on the ground and with a cart. It looked at shoeing for winter work, thinning, selection of trees for harvest, and estimating harvest volume.

This year it takes place Sept 27 to Oct 2nd in Rockwood, and it is really cool that the Canadian olympic Silver Medal Team will be in attendance! We will hear from a Horse-back Writer and the founder of "Horse Basics." Karen Dallimore. AND, We have an exciting announcement about training time with Chester Weber, who was just named Chef D'Equip for the United States Pair and Pony Pair Teams!!!

I WON A TRAINING WEEKEND WITH CHESTER WEBER !!!!! I want to thank you for your votes read you my essay....

Chester Weber is a champion many times over, but there are other reasons I am his number 1 fan. He has been the introduction to the sport of Combined Driving, not just for me, but for countless enthusiasts. I can vividly remember an entrancing demo during the Symphony of the Horse Charity Fundraiser in Gainesville Florida where he was wearing a headset mic and whipping around the arena in describing the sport in general, as well as the specific methods he was using moment by moment, with his team in action, to gift a taste of the sport. I am his number 1 fan because he believes in cross training not just the horses, but for his own fitness levels as a competitor. I am his number 1 fan because of the respect and appreciation he has shown for his carefully selected staff team. I am his number 1 fan because he is known to provide horses to students from time to time, including Canadians! I am his number 1 fan because he known to invest in horses being shown in other sports, including by Canadian riders. I am his number 1 fan because some of the most amazing photographs published of him are taken by his wife. Even as his number 1 fan, I was impressed to see his calm, composure and patience for hot day delay after delay after delay for his turn for the cones phase at WEG 2010. Not to mention the team spirit shown in the way he cheered for his US team mates, ringside smiling and fist in the air!

I am his number 1 fan because of his approachable, friendly, down to earth nature, his willingness to support equine media and interest in sharing equine enthusiasm fans and fellow athletes alike. As a grass roots Eventer myself, grown up on rescue horses and borrowed ponies I admire his action in saving the challenging Jamaica from the slaughterhouse and offering a second career. I appreciate his race influenced childhood. The chance to train with Chester for a weekend would mean the world not just to me, but would also provide an amazing opportunity to members of the hoofbeats! (radio+) group.

I have never been to Live Oaks. I would love love the opportunity to experience it, and I would gladly even ride any or all of the 4-6 horses each day, as directed by Chester! I would also endeavour to dress the part of a driver, as you can see from the photo taken today!

What's next, an interview?

On the summer fill-in show proposal I had to list two people I'd like to interview on the show. One name I jotted was: Lyle Lovett, Country Music Star and Horse Owner/Reining Enthusiast - on tour in Canada in August 2011 he would be an amazingly high profile guest to talk about the mysterious and contested cowboy sport.

I love how he talks about horses, family and heritage. He makes it all so romantic! He grew up in Klien Community (North Harris County)Texas in the house built by his grandpa in 1911. He's always loved horses. Can't wait to learn more about reining and to talk horse with such an intriguing character.

This is a "review" of Lyle of Natural Forces, as staff pick tune of the day on the Folkway Music Blog.

Here's an album review of the previous release, even older, reprinted for your viewing pleasure. Its an excerpt from the still top secret/fiction thing The Chick's Listening Party, and the facts are wrong (?)

Lyle Lovett My Baby Don't Tolerate, Lost Highway

Lyle Lovett is totally the type of guy I would have dated in high school, though he sings about not being popular then. Nowadays, I say go see him perform live any where, any time, any place. He is mesmerizing, though he hasn't been around in while. Gord Roberts, the owner of Backbeat thought Step Inside This House was an album of covers because Lyle “was experiencing a dry spell.” Gordon Shawcross, Houseplant, thinks Lyle made the album to earn money for the original songwriters. Whatever. For me, the album was simply a gift. Because I'd foolishly given away my Townes Van Sant anthology twice, so was without it; and was tired of getting a Guy Clark CD out of the library over and over for just the one good song. Lyle gave me his version of those precious songs. I'm a giant Lyle fan, in a club that has been waiting near seven years for new original tunes from a hero.
Finally, here's fourteen tracks, with lyrics and artful photos. If it's true what Toronto songwriter Amer Diab says, that every song is a love song, then thank god Lyle found April. We love April, and the fact that he is finally over Julia Roberts, and is, unlike Elvis Costello, who allowed his art to sink to the level of a new inferior partner. Lyle sings, intelligently humorous, about how "His Baby Don't Tolerate" especially early in the mornings, on what is mostly a cheerful, lively and sweet collection. So what if some of his more challenging material is saved for a rainy day. His voice is great, the big band of musicians is impeccable as always. Join the jig, have the fun, the guy's in love.

There was a lot of good media coverage about our horse talk show, with exposure in The Rider, Horse Sport, Horse Power, Equine Lifestyle, Horse Canada and even the podcast Equinely Inclined! Nikky got a 2 page spread in an Amercian Magazine and Kim was interviewed by Horse Radio Networds out of Lexington about the time of the Media of the Year Award from the National Sport Office. Hilary published a few articles about the show, in between hosting and reporting for it, and has since officially embarked on a Broadcast Journalism Post Secondary Education program.

The Contest Entry Episode:
The first minute is an audio mash of voices collected at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, and features comments from Darren ChaiChai -- Known as "the fitness guy" on the U.S. team, Chiacchia cross-trains to improve his fitness as a rider.

Darren is well known from the accident on March 15, 2008 at the Red Hills Horse Trials. He was negotiating the preliminary cross country course aboard seven year old Baron Verdi, whose recent performance at home and in competition had provided Darren with great confidence. A misstep led to a somersault of horse and rider, and led to changes in the sport of eventing.

Notes About The Program:
The first ever broadcast was Dec, 2007 and week after week hoofbeats! radio has delivered outstanding media coverage, 8-10am Sunday mornings. With on-line streams from CFRU and CFMU, and via 93.3fm the show was broadcast over a simulcast broadcast radius with a population of more than 1,000,000 -- before the herd decided to put together a live equine theatre show instead ha.

I am sorry today to inform you that hoofbeats! radio must go on hiatus at CFRU, due to a shortage of trained volunteers. I feel I have provided useful background to this announcement through previous communications...

I am sad to lose or alienate the Guelph listenership and waste the impact of our marketing. I always thought the show is a good fit for the U of G station, with its "horsey" nature, and for me personally it is convenient geography! However, I just cannot overcome the CFRU obstacles unpaid anymore. Best,

[ ] Sunday Feb 15, we are broadcasting live from CFMU; Today is our last time as a two hour show, and so it will probably be our last musical hoofbeats! radio show. Before we expanded and launched Horse Crazy, we never had time for any music and we are going back to being a one hour show. So we will be having a music celebration today! I have some pre-recorded music of friends to play and I have friends live in the studio ready to play... We also have lots of fiction to share!

hoofbeats! radio has been broadcasting weekly for 2 hours at 93.3fm -- at one point managing to simulacast at CFRU at the same time, but mostly alternating between stations while seeking a syndicated show host, which we never did find... this week only our second hour will be simulcast and it will be rebroadcast at CFRU next week as we get our new syndication schedule happening.

Kimberly Logue Named as Recipient of the 2008 Susan Jane Anstey Media Award

Equine Canada has named Kimberly Logue of hoofbeats! radio as the recipient of the Susan Jane Anstey Media Award. Logue had made a great effort to provide a voice to the equestrian community and to enhance the image of equestrian interests with the public through her weekly two-hour radio broadcast. With hoofbeats! radio, a syndicated horse talk show, Logue covers many equine topics while entertaining and educating her audience. The first broadcast of hoofbeats! Radio was heard on December 7, 2007, at 93.3 fm from the University of Guelph, and listenership has increased week after week. The popular radio show now also transmits from the tower at Mohawk College to reach a wider audience. “I am very excited to receive this award, especially because it recognizes a not-for-profit radio program that reaches the grass roots horse people and welcomes the general public into our horsey world,” said Logue.

Kim Logue, host /founder of a horse talk radio show on the University of Guelph's Campus Radio station is being recognized by Equine Canada -- for outstanding media coverage that enhanced the image of Canadian equine interests to the Canadian public.

"I expected them to just keep giving the award to the CBC every year," says Logue. "Can you imagine that they didn't give the 2008 award to the CBC for their coverage of an Olympic year? An Olympic year like we had in the equestrian sports this year? I am very proud of this award!"

Logue says that she thinks of The Canadian Equestrian Federation as the national governing body for all horse activities except racing - but now its known as Equine Canada. Logue adds that she hopes to sit beside Eric Lamaze, (Celebrated 2008 Olympic Medalist, just named Equine Canada's Equestrian of the Year), at the awards gala in Ottawa this weekend!

Kim Logue started riding at age 9, owned her own horse as a teenager, and evented with a Corporate Sponsorship in the 90's. She has ridden the Equine Star of Carmen at the Metropolitan Opera in Manhattan, ridden scenic routes in Florida for a former coach of the Canadian Equestrian Team, and jogged a filly hitched to harness-racing cart. She also surprised an elk in the woods of Alberta her first time in a Western saddle! She would like to do some overnight trail rides and hopes to someday ride a Kur.

Logue is a Certified Instructor who especially loves choreographing musical ride movements. She teaches at Manoravon Farms in Guelph and Greyden Farms Equestrian Centre in Erin. She has presented at Toronto's Royal Agricultural Winter Fair for Equine Guelph, written for many horsey publications, and uses her devotion to horses as a driving force for hoofbeats.radio!

A new member would like to join the hoofbeats! team.

The reporter will periodically stop in at CFRU to record reports about research done, and it would be great if this could be done without me needing to be there. The reporter may also want to sign out portable recorders occasionally to record events and interviews. I am super keen to bring this person on board.

We are going to get together at CFRU on Day, Time. By any chance will you there at that time, so as to provide her an orientation? If so, I would invite other interested/as yet untrained hoofbeats! volunteers to attend. Please let me know...

- there is a 3 min discrepancy btween stn clocks. CFRU is slow, on top of being the 6 min BBC insister. ACK.
- two volunteers showed up for training that didn't happen - no response on fb thread was misunderstood/miscommunicated to CFRU volunteer coordinator

- number for the studio was wrong too
- also the levels were very hard to control, sometimes you guys seemed to be broadcasting very loudly whereas the phone convo was incredibly quiet, I had to turn it up like the whole way. Other than it went as you predicted and I liked the show. Your friend did super.

note: "Nikky and I hung out and talked and I took some photos of her in the studio for the magazine and she helped with the levels. We went out to the barn after and got some photos of her and Dakota together. I sent them to Blaze and the pubisher says the should work much better- phew!"

I have to read this on the air - a fact i just came across on the Horse-Sport website.

Who is someone that you have never met, in or out of the horse industry that you would like to? Why?

Peter would love to meet Tina Turner. "I love her energy, music and vivacity." He really likes a line in the epilogue of her autobiography, which talks about things giving her grief… "whether it’s a car, a job, a husband, if you don’t like it, get rid of it, otherwise your true creativity will never come out."

The First Female Sportscaster

Terry Leibel paved the road for Beth Underhill and others like her in more ways than one. In the first case, she broke down barriers as a competitor in an athletic endeavor dominated by men. Secondly, she gave women credibility as storytellers of sport.

“I never felt that I was the story but rather the conduit between the event and the audience at home,” she said. “I was devoted to being an accomplished communicator who did everything with passion.”

Terry retired in 2008. Leibel was Canada's premier show jumping analyst, and was also a member of on-air teams covering thoroughbred racing for both CBC and NBC.

- for each discipline, lined up the best specialists in Canada as commentators, including hunter/jumper judge and horse appraiser, Nancy Wetmore (Equine Analyst for Show Jumping on TSN, Sportsnet and as Eurosport in Irelandand can assist in arranging syndications); FEI ‘O’ level Dressage Judge Cara Whitham, and former international competitor and Olympic Eventing Team Coach Lorraine Laframboise.

Did you know that Madonna is in training with a British eventing coach at the FTI Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL, of course. The star is a known equestrian, and will be spending two weeks in Florida at the event. British event rider Daisy Trayford will fly to the U.S. either tomorrow or Friday to help Madonna with her equestrian skills. Trayford isn’t the only famous eventer Madonna has worked with. Back in 2006, she was working with another British eventer, William Fox-Pitt. -- source

Syndication - Help Wanted

Our pre-recorded stuff and music is mostly selected, edited et al at CFRU, so we say are produced at the U of G. The audio is streamed live and achived at CFRU.ca and promoted for listening via internet. Because so many horse people live in RURAL areas without access to high speed internet, we like to maximize our actual radio broadcast radius as much as possible
Should we doing more to promote the digital cable listening option?
Our new year's resolution is to broadcast weekly from CFMU in Hamilton and pick up a webstream at CFRU at the same time. I am seeking so-called-syndicated radio and internet horse talk show hosts.

Here is the volunteer job description:

1) CFRU Guelph, Simulcast host
[ ] print show script from blog
[ ] Enter CFRU at 7:45am Sunday morning, at 8:00 am put on BBC feed for 5 min.at 8:05 open website on computer and broadcast webstream (the show host is available by phone from the other stn in Hamilton).
[ ] complete CFRU log sheet
[ ] greet Drones and Tones programmer, depart 10:00am
2) CFMU Hamilton, Live to Air host
[ ] download audio segments via send space
[ ] print script from blog
[ ] burn audio cd of pre-recorded segments as sent by email
[ ] Enter CFMU at 7:45am Sunday morning. Host the show, using the script and audio provided as previously mentioned.
[ ] greet Armenian show programmer, depart 10:00am
